When we started this page in 1996, our perception of the Internet was somewhat naïve: We saw it as a wealth of easily accessible information, as a community where ideas could be exchanged freely, and be available forever. Revisiting our site in 2004 after a long pause shows that many initiatives, concepts and companies (and the corresponding links) no longer exist, and that corporate web design has often reduced the role of the web to a mere one-dimensional billboard without any depth of information.

This page is dedicated to our outdated links and to all the others that deservedly or undeservedly fell into oblivion, with the corresponding logo or banner if available.

The Web Interoperability Pledge (WIP) http://www.anchordesk.com/wip/index.html	The WIP dates from the time when Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape were still competitors. The background of the WIP, for obvious reasons no longer relevant, can be viewed at http://www.w3.org/Promotion/WIP/.
The Software Money-Back Guarantee	Promoted by Anchor Desk, but apparently not longer maintained, the AnchorDesk SMBG Hall of Fame was meant to list all the companies that offer at least a 30-day Software Money-Back Guarantee. Well ...
